Course Overview:
This unit specifies the outcomes required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the advanced level. Scaffolding consists of all intermediate scaffolding work including all other scaffolding work connected with the use and operation of hung scaffolds and suspended scaffolds for licensing purposes.
This unit is based upon the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
Formal Training:
- Both theory and practical training is provided by industry experienced trainers.
- Students must complete a log-book to document practical hours completed (this may be completed on-site at SDS Training or at a workplace under suitable supervision).
Assessment:
- Theory assessment (both a knowledge assessment and a calculations assessment are to be completed).
- Practical assessment is conducted.
Course Topics:
- Planning the job.
- Selecting and inspecting the plant equipment.
- Setting up the task.
- Erecting scaffold and scaffold equipment.
- Dismantling scaffold and scaffold equipment.

Course Specifics:
Entry Requirements
- Must be 18 years or over
- CPCCLSF3001 LICENCE TO ERECT, ALTER AND DISMANTLE SCAFFOLDING Intermediate level.
Pre-requisites:
- 3 Forms of ID.

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of the course you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and the opportunity to lodge your application with Workplace Health and Safety for your Nationally Recognised High Risk Work Licence.
