Course Overview:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct grader operations.

This unit applies to those working in site based roles.

This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisting someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and unload plant or equivalent.

*Mining Unit of Competency is also available RIIMPO310F Conduct Grader Operations.

Formal Training:

Both theory and practical training is provided by industry experienced trainers.

Assessment

Theory assessment (both a knowledge assessment and a calculations assessment are to be completed).
Practical assessment is conducted.

- Operate grader in line with established requirements to complete work activity
- Select, remove, fit and use attachments for grader
- Prepare to relocate the grader
- Conduct housekeeping activities
