Course Overview:
This unit covers the scope of work to plan the job, select and inspect equipment, set up task, erect scaffold and scaffold equipment and dismantle scaffold and scaffold equipment.
This unit is based upon the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
Formal Training:
- Both theory and practical training is provided by industry experienced trainers.
- Students must complete a log-book to document practical hours completed (this may be completed on-site at SDS Training or at a workplace under suitable supervision).
Assessment:
- Theory assessment (both a knowledge assessment and a calculations assessment are to be completed).
- Practical assessment is conducted.
Course Topics:
- Planning the job.
- Selecting and inspecting the plant equipment.
- Setting up the task.
- Erecting scaffold and scaffold equipment.
- Dismantling scaffold and scaffold equipment.

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of the course you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and the opportunity to lodge your application to Workplace Health and Safety for your Nationally Recognised High Risk Work Licence.
