What Is The Try, Test and Learn Program?

This program is a program designed with an aim to provide at-risk students with additional support, access to health professionals and employment pathways.

It can be provided at a low or high intensity, in group work and provide 1 on 1 professional health advice.

How Is The Try, Test and Learn Program Funded?

This is a complementary service funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

Who Can Take Part In The Program?

The program is designed to assist students who show evidence of one or more risk factors.

Examples of risk factors include: A limited social/support network, unstable accommodation or housing, a sudden drop in academic performance and/or output, a carer and/or parenting or displaying a low level of language, literacy and numeracy skills.

How Do I Know If I’m Eligible?

To be eligible for this program, you must be:

– Receiving Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY
– Between 17 – 24 years of age
– Enrolled in VET studies from Certificate I
