Conduct Health and Safety Investigations (G8 – formerly S2)

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct work related health and safety investigations as a result of an incident and to contribute to a safe workplace.

It applies to individuals who participate in work related health and safety investigations as part of their responsibilities.

Communicate Information (G9 – formerly S3)

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to communicate information to complete work activities within the mining, drilling and civil infrastructure industry. It includes planning and preparing for and conducting communication via a number of different methods to ensure work activities are understood.

This unit applies to individuals who are working in an operational, supervisory or team leader capacity.

Carry out the Risk Management Process (G2)

This course is primarily for people who will be engaged in facilitating risk management processes on a mine site. In many mining companies, supervisors are required to prove competency in carrying out risk management processes.

The G2 Risk Management Training course is usually a key element for career progression for those who want to become a Deputy, OCE, Superintendent or a site safety health representative.
