Course Overview:
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply risk management processes in the mining, drilling and civil infrastructure industry.
This unit applies to individuals who contribute to applying risk management processes as part of their responsibilities. This could be an employer, line manager, supervisor, safety representative or employee. This unit applies to those who carry out or assist in carrying out risk assessment in the workplace.
This unit is delivered as part of SDS Training’s Certificate III in Civil Construction, Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations, and Certificate IV in Civil Construction.
Completion of this unit may provide credit transfer opportunities for learners pursuing further study in supervision, safety, or civil construction qualifications.
Formal Training:
- Both theory and practical training is provided by industry experienced trainers.
Assessment
- Theory assessment (both a knowledge assessment and a calculations assessment are to be completed).
- Practical assessment is conducted.
