Course Overview:
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to communicate information to complete work activities within the mining, drilling and civil infrastructure industry. It includes planning and preparing for and conducting communication via a number of different methods to ensure work activities are understood.
This unit applies to individuals who are working in an operational, supervisory or team leader capacity.
This unit is delivered as part of SDS Training’s G1, G8, G9 Supervisor Course and is also embedded in several higher-level qualifications.
Completion of this unit may provide credit transfer opportunities for learners pursuing further study in supervision, leadership, or civil construction qualifications.
Formal Training:
- Both theory and practical training is provided by industry experienced trainers.
Assessment
- Theory assessment (both a knowledge assessment and a calculations assessment are to be completed).
- Practical assessment is conducted.
