Course Overview:
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a backhoe/loader to load, distribute and place materials.
This unit applies to those working in site based roles who are required to operate backhoe/loaders as part of their job role. This unit is suitable for workers who operate backhoe/loaders in a range of working conditions, including mining, quarrying, and construction.
Formal Training:
- Both theory and practical training is provided by industry experienced trainers.
Assessment
- Theory assessment (both a knowledge assessment and a calculations assessment are to be completed).
- Practical assessment is conducted.
