Course Overview:
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to measure, support and find opportunities to improve the sustainability of work practices.
The unit applies to individuals, working under supervision or guidance, who are required to follow workplace procedures and instructions. These individuals work in an environmentally sustainable manner within scope of competency, authority and own level of responsibility.
This unit is delivered as part of SDS Training’s Certificate II in Surface Extraction Operations and Certificate III in Civil Construction and is also embedded across several other industry-aligned qualifications.
Completion of this unit may provide credit transfer opportunities for learners pursuing further study in civil construction, resources, or environmental sustainability fields.
Formal Training:
- Both theory and practical training is provided by industry experienced trainers.
Assessment
- Theory assessment (both a knowledge assessment and a calculations assessment are to be completed).
- Practical assessment is conducted.
