Course Overview

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a vehicle loading crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) of 10 metre tonnes or more. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant.

Vehicle loading crane means a crane mounted on a vehicle for loading and unloading the vehicle.

ARE THERE ANY PRE-REQUISITES?
You must be over 18 years to undertake this training and produce 3 forms of ID.

Formal Training
- Duration 5 days
- Issuance of log book for recording of practical hours under supervision
- Challenge Test completion
Assessment
- Confirmation by students & trainer that they are ready for assessment
- Notification to WH&SQ of assessment (min. 3 working days)
- Assessment conducted by one of our accredited WH&SQ assessors
WHAT CLOTHING SHOULD I WEAR?
Put on something comfortable, you can always dress in your normal work gear, as long as you are wearing appropriate clothing for conduction high-risk work, including:
- Enclosed shoes
- Long pants

- Learner Guides
- Assessment Material (theory & practical)
- Hi-Vis Vest (if required)
We also supply comfortable undercover seating areas as well as tea, coffee and of course cold water.
All we suggest is for you to bring your own lunch – a coffee van comes onsite every morning! …I know, aren’t we spoilt!
